Edit with placeholders

Move through a complex structure without losing track of its arguments.

Insert a guided command

Choose a command with arguments, such as a fraction, root, or integral. Equation Studio highlights the first place that needs input.

Navigate deliberately

Use Tab and Shift-Tab with a physical keyboard. On iPad with the on-screen keyboard, use the next and previous chevrons in the console header to move between placeholders.

Refine freely

Guided editing does not lock the source. You can edit the LaTeX directly at any point, then return to the next placeholder when it helps.
