Noctis Open Scientific Studio (“Noctis”) is committed to respecting your privacy.
This policy covers two separate things: our apps and this website. They are described separately because they behave differently. Our apps do not collect personal data, while this website stores an email address only if you voluntarily choose to subscribe to Noctis updates.
Our apps
Noctis Equation Studio and Noctis Paper Studio do not collect personal data.
They do not require an account, contain no analytics or tracking software, and display no advertising. Your equations, documents, settings, and other content remain on your own device, and nothing you create is transmitted to Noctis.
Signing up for Noctis updates is something you do on this website. It is not a feature of the apps, and using an app never subscribes you to any mailing list.
This website
You do not need an account to browse this website.
We do not use tracking or advertising cookies, and we do not currently use analytics services. We do not sell personal information.
If we introduce analytics or other data-processing features in the future, this policy will be updated before those features are used.
Our hosting provider, Vercel, may maintain standard technical server logs as part of operating and securing the website.
Newsletter and product updates
If you enter your email address in the sign-up form, we use it only to send you news about Noctis products, including product launches, major updates, and related announcements.
We do not use your email address for unrelated purposes, sell it, or share it with advertisers.
Our mailing list is hosted by Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, France), which processes email addresses and delivers messages on our behalf.
You may unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link included in every email. Unsubscribing stops future marketing emails. Your email address will be deleted from the active mailing list or retained only where necessary for legal, security, or suppression purposes, such as preventing accidental re-subscription.
You may also contact us through the Support page to request deletion of your email address or to ask what personal information we hold about you.
When the subscription form is submitted, our server may temporarily process your IP address for security and rate-limiting purposes. The IP address is checked at the time of the request only, is not stored together with your email address, and is not retained by Noctis afterwards.
